Ofsted-registered childcare

Government childcare support, towards your child’s tuition

Because we are registered with Ofsted, families can put government childcare support towards lessons at the centre — so the same tuition costs your household less.

Registered, not self-declared

What our Ofsted registration means

Registration is not a badge we award ourselves. Ofsted sets requirements for safeguarding, staff suitability, premises and record-keeping, and checks that we meet them. Two things follow from it.

Standards that are inspected, not claimed

Safer-recruitment checks on every member of staff, written safeguarding and child-protection policies, first-aid cover, and premises and record-keeping that meet statutory requirements.

Access to government childcare support

Registration is what makes a provider eligible, so families can use Tax-Free Childcare and the Universal Credit childcare element towards our fees. Unregistered tutors cannot offer this.

A registration you can check yourself

Ofsted publishes every registered provider. You do not have to take our word for it — look us up on the public register before you enrol.

We are registered with Ofsted. Ask us for our registration details and we will give them to you, so you can look us up before you enrol.

Government support

Ways to pay for tuition

These are government schemes, not our discounts — we simply meet the registration requirement that lets you use them. Eligibility is decided by HMRC or the DWP, not by us.

Universal Credit childcare

Claim back up to 85% of what you pay us

If you receive Universal Credit and are working, you can claim back most of your childcare costs. You pay us first and report the cost in your journal; the money comes back in your next payment.

  • Up to 85% of your costs
  • Capped at £1,071.09 a month for one child
  • Capped at £1,836.16 a month for two or more children
  • Keep our receipts — you will need them to claim

What that looks like in practice

A course advertised at £200 a month, paid through a Tax-Free Childcare account: you put in £160 and the government adds £40. Over a school year that is £400 you did not have to earn.

Tax-Free Childcare applies to children aged 11 and under, so this covers our Primary courses and the start of Key Stage 3. Universal Credit childcare reaches older children.

Safeguarding

How we keep children safe

The requirements that come with registration are the same ones we would want as parents.

  • Every member of staff is DBS-checked and employed directly by the academy
  • Written safeguarding and child-protection policies, reviewed annually
  • A named designated safeguarding lead
  • Paediatric first-aid cover on site during sessions
  • Small groups — a maximum of 6 children per class
  • Signed-in arrivals and collection only by a named adult

Questions parents ask

Childcare support, answered plainly

Does being Ofsted-registered mean you are a school?

No. We are a tuition centre registered on the Ofsted Childcare Register. Registration covers safeguarding, staff suitability and the safety of the premises. It is not a school inspection judgement and we do not claim a grade.

Can I use Tax-Free Childcare for my GCSE or A-Level student?

Not for Tax-Free Childcare — that scheme stops at age 11, or 16 if your child is disabled. The Universal Credit childcare element reaches older children, so if you receive Universal Credit it may still apply. Ask us and we will tell you honestly which applies to your family.

Do I get a discount from you as well?

These are government schemes, not our discounts. Our fees are the same for everyone; the schemes change what the same fee costs your household.

What do I need from you in order to claim?

For Tax-Free Childcare you need our registration details to add us as a provider in your childcare account. For Universal Credit you need receipts showing what you paid and when. We issue both — just ask.

Who decides whether I am eligible?

HMRC for Tax-Free Childcare, and the DWP for Universal Credit. We cannot approve or refuse a claim, and we would rather point you at the GOV.UK checker than guess on your behalf.

Can I look around before enrolling?

Yes, and we encourage it. Book a free trial lesson and you can see the centre, meet the tutor and ask about our safeguarding policies while you are here.

Not sure which scheme applies to you?

Tell us your child’s age and we will tell you straight which support you can use — including when the answer is none.
